A mirthful grin split Leviathan's features. There would be no quarreling within his coveted harem. He gently lipped the locks cascading from Dorada's elegant crest, lavishing similar tender treatment on his surrogate daughter. His deep hazelnut orbs danced with an uncontainable joy, receiving disgust and derision from his underlying Dark side.

He remarked how alike the two were, and how genetically near-impossible for the filla to have been of his blood. His fire-blackened pillars were only of a few shades darker than his gleaming auburn chassis. It took a great deal of class to make a common tainture seem original and different. With the rarer, recessive hues it was easier to carve an identity deviant from others.
His pleasant mood vanished in an instant as he felt a familiar tug on his essence. The sea had deemed his stay long enough and called for his return. He shied back violently, harks flat upon his skull. He could not leave, not when he had gained so much!

Plymouth nipped at Dorada gently. She then took in her surroundings quickly, and thrusted her body into a buck. She did this several times before collapsing, rolling in the emerald blades.

The sea's call became more demanding, pulling steadily at his being. He erupted into a defiant rear, forepillars lashing out in the direction of the lapping salted waves. His fine cranium was thrown back in a pained fashion, his parched kissers parting to emit a tortured cry. He backed away, but his master element drew his strength from him at every step he took to distance himself. His agony increased to the point that he bore it in silence.
Black clouds began to roll in. A storm was brewing.

Plymouth shot up, backing away from him. What was wrong with him? She'd never seen her father like so... She retreated behind Dorada, not understanding his battle. Fright filled her as he became a potential threat, in her mind.

Dorada was startled when her mate started struggling in an invisable battle. Her large eyes narrowed with worry. She whispered to the filly Stay back little one. She took confident steps to ward her love. She pressed her flank to his and nuzzled him, hoping to help ease his pain.

The ocean, within a league of their sight, swelled and foamed in silent fury at its slave's dissent. Leviathan let out a pained moan, the agony becoming all the more excrutiating the longer he resisted.
As if from a great distance he was aware of Dorada at his side, and the terrified Plymouth keeping her distance. The fear he now instilled in the filla was the most painful blow of all. With growing resolve he gathered the powerful Darkness sheathed within his princely bod. He had too much to stay for, he would not let the sea tear him away. His hooves slid in the granules of sand, as if some invisible rope dragged him towards the surf. This was too much.
He leapt into the air, striking the tendrils of storm cloud that dared hang low like a ghostly fog upon his land. His daggers sliced the wind with a whistling pitch, and from his larynx issued a bold challenge to his master, calling his element to side with the apprentice howling upon the beach, and turn the power from the churning deeps.

Plymouth backed away, then suddenly bolted away, hiding behing a large boulder. She peered over it's side, fear striking her. What was happening? Was he going to be alright? What was gonna happen? So many questions ran throughout her young mind...

The storm winds picked up, buffeting the hellion's obsidian mane from his proud crest. He loosed a fresh challenge, his voids burning with a fiery rage. He knew that if his challenge was too soon and his talents still too unrefined, he would perish. But he would not go down easily.
A wall of water rose out in the sea, a large wave rippling with oceanic energy. Leviathan braced himself to meet it, knowing that he was its only target. Did this mean that his master was attempting to grind its unruly apprentice into the ground? Leviathan could only wait and hope to survive.

Plymouth did not move... Should she keep running? And what was that noise? She slightly scquealed, fear pulsing through her. At one moment, Leviathan had been fine... Now this darq side seemed to be exposed.

The tsunamical wave crashed down upon the brute, the surge of aquamarine hiding him from view. He could feel the pressure driving his daggers into the sand, the strain on his skeleton racking his chassis with pain. Still he held his ground, despite the water's efforts to grind him into it.

Teeming rivulets ran in veined patterns down the pale granules of the beach. Deep gouges were left in the fine-grained sand where the tormented hellion had made his last stand, but there was no sign of the brute left, his princely bod wiped clean from the slate of the land.
The frothing aqua receded, calmed to gentle rolling and lapping at the dampened sands. Had Lord Leviathan challenged too soon, and thus been untimely ripped from land and home and life?

Plymouth halted, an unearthly silence filling the air. Should she go back? Curiousity took over her mind, and she raced back. When she arrived, no one was in sight. Where was her father?
