She lock onto his gaze, unmoving. What would he do now? She had wondered if he would leave anytime soon. So far, he had stayed longer than she had ever expected.

He smirked, a sultry air about him. Tossing his salt-ridden tresses to the heavens, he reared, his hindquarters bunched with striated muscle. His great mystery was veiled for a moment as his curtain was blown across his narrow visage by the chilled breeze. He relished the feel of the wind, a welcome sensation in the heat of summer. His pillars itched with the urge to run, and he looked to the dark ess beside him, his gaze inquiring if she wished to gallop as well.

She shook her ragged crania to the skies above, following suit. She threw her daggers to the air, matching his height. She screamed, wishing to take him on.

He shifted his weight enough to shoulder her over, then leapt forward into a treble beat that soon ascended to a quadruple. His long ebon banner cracked out behind him like a pirate's flag, and he was a great shining ship slicing easily through the sea of jades. His mahogany chassis reflected the light in all hues as he tore up the landscape.

She flew after him, her posture of pure elegance. Though Dark, when she ran, she was pure Light. She was very competative, for running was her life. She tore after him, quickly gaining. She threw herse;lf into her second speed, quickly passing him. She was no were near her max speed, either.

He launched himself into a higher gear, beats increasing their frequency as he gradually regained lost ground. His boa reached forward, harks resting flat along his aerodynamic frame. His elasticity seemed without limit, as if his strides could extend beyond the limits of his skeleton. Were his strides any less masculine it might seem that the hellion was about to fly from the surface of the earth.

She sped up, her strides, nearly matching his. She fell slightly back, a sharp cramp forming 'pon her recovering injury within her hock. Yet, she knew she had to keep up, she threw herself foward, feeling the pain sharped slightly as she match his beats. The faen had yet one last speed... If she could reach it, that was.

He slowed by a minimal fraction, a crease of worry forming at the sign of her former injury. He regained his former speed upon spotting that it no longer seemed to trouble her. With a herculean effort he threw himself into high gear, demanding such a feat of effort that it required him to shut off all peripheral and non-essential thoughts and functions of his mind. So it was, his mind blissfully silent and his hooves anything but.

She slowed, unable to reach this speed. The pain was too great. She had to stop. She brought her speed down to a slow canter, then slid. She shook her crania, admitting defeat.

He gradually reduced speed, unable to slow suddenly for the strain on his limbs would be damaging. He banked sharply when his speed permitted it, wheeling back to trot loosely to her side. His gaze inquired if she was okay, for he seldom voiced concerns. It seemed to make them more real.

I am fine, She snapped. Her injured dagger lifted, she snorted. Why had she done so? Oh well. It was her fault. She turned, slightly limping away, then walking normally. She was not to strain herself as she had done.

He inclined his fine tapered mug in a degree of apology, for he felt quite sure that she would not have pushed herself so hard had it not been for him. Seeing that she did not appreciate sympathy nor pity, he dropped his gentle expression and rearranged his features into one of passive exhaustion. His breathing slowed nicely, a token to his amazing fitness.

She pulled away, her breathing slowed. Wishing his annoying presence would cease, part of her wanted him to stay... Ah, the battles of a nuetral. He would know... he was like her.

A smirk toyed with his lithe features as he strode alongside her. He too was torn inside, but in a different dilemma. He longed to torment her, but he also did not wish to be a nuisance. His wicked ways threatened to show through as he debated inwardly.

She nipped at him, quite harshly, then trotted carefully away. (Gah, no muse and in a hurry)
