He stared at the fleeing youth in disgust.
"Fleeing will do you no good. Anyone that enters these lands does not leave... Not alive, at least."
He kept the meaning of what he may do to the colt his secret, though he knew Nightmare knew, as well. The colt would not be his to kill. He stared at Nightmare, voids cold. He did not move an inch, seeming to read her thoughts of why she was not acting.

Shadows words shook Nightmare fomr her stupor. She sidestepped and nipped the colt harshly drawing blood. Tears trickled down the steely grey colts face. He lept away from her and cowered on the ground a few feet away from the two. Nightmare glared at him, but couldn't help feeling a small bit of liking for the colt. She hid this reaction deep within her and stepped closer to Shadow.
The colt lay there wiping the tears from his face. He stood weakly and watched the two timidly. Would he ever learn to cope with these evil people?

Shadow grinned at Nightmare. Good... He whispered. The colt would learn to fear them... Perhaps he wouldn't be much to fight back against their own offspring.

(Tis understand able. I just got over a flu.)
Nightmare smirked back at Shadow ignoring the colt. When she turned back to the colt her eyes held much hatred for him. "You are to stay with one of us or where we leave you at all times..... is that understandable?" She watched him carefully as he nodded a solom yes. He lifted a hoof to take a step closer, but hesitated before putting it back down. How he longed for his mother now. To feel her loving nuzzle against his nape. Or Levy. Though he hadn't known him long he had grown to like Levy. He felt terrible for running away the other day, but well there wasn't much he could do about it now. and how he missed Plymouth. Her smile had become so custom to him, and her sweet warm tones seemed to fill his mind warming him gently. How he would miss his playmate.
